Spring has sprung!
The weather is finally warming up, and we have been busy bees! Here’s what we’ve been up to recently:
Firstly, Carla’s book launched this March! Her memoir/handbook, Microenterprise Hits The Big Screen is available for purchase on Amazon and Kindle. To promote the book, Carla’s Movie Restaurant was a vendor at the Cal-TASH 2023 annual conference.
Then, Carla had costumes that she designed featured at the Los Alamitos Weekend of Art exhibit. Carla was introduced as a local textile artist by John Underwood, and four of her designs were showcased at the exhibit, along with a short video showing one of the costumes in action on stage. It was a beautiful display, and a fun way to connect with other artists in our community.
This last weekend, a production of Annie wrapped at the Ebell Theatre featuring another original design from Carla! We’ll be getting professional photos of the production soon, and we’re very excited to see the results.
And for our local audience, we have been organizing a very special “Pup-up” at the Rossmoor Farmers’ Market. Bring your dog on May 11th for a FREE dog photography booth! This will be our first in-person event in 3 years, and we can’t wait to see you there! For more info, the flier for the event is on our main page.
It feels good to be back in action, this year is on track to be a great one. Be sure to follow our Instagram page to stay up-to-date on what we’re doing (@CarlasMovieRestaurant).
With love,
Lea
